Polyvinylpolypyrrolidone
Polyclar V is a highly effective 100% PVPP wine stabilizer with an average particle size of around 25 microns. it is optimized for maximum, fast-acting reduction of polyphenols, such as the leucoanthocyananadins and catechins, that may cause "pinking" and "browning" through oxidative polymerization.
- High surface area permitting maximum efficacy
- Can be added: after initial clarification
- Can be added: during or after tartaric stabilization
- Can be added: before pre-bottling filtration
If added during the filtration process, a minimum of contact time of 5 minumtes is recommended. A diatomaceous earth filter should also be used.
