Description
The calcium salt of ascorbic acid.

Properties
- A white to slightly yellow
- odorless
- crystalline powder; soluble in water; slightly soluble in alcohol; insoluble in ether. The pH of a 10% solution is between 6.8 and 7.4.

Directions for use
Food preservative. Calcium fortification.
